The prisoner group that Brille was in, Span One, acted as though they were family. Like if something happened to one of them, it happened to all of them. It was like a little community that they had in the prison. They were more than just friends in that prison, they were family. Even though Brille had a family at home, he had a second family in the prison. Another thing that happened was when Brille caught Hannetjie stealing fertilizer from the shed. It reminded him of something his own kid would do. But, if the government were to open his letter Mariana, his girlfriend, would be executed. On page it says, "...he applied simply to intercept his own letter, a consoling but unoriginal idea." So, he gets a job at the Post Office's Censorship Division. When he starts working at the censorship division he sneaks his letter in for Mariana to read. He keeps getting promoted as his letter goes through the censorship division. As his letter goes through it almost gets sent to Mariana. But, unfortunately he gets caught by the government and executed, just for trying to help Mariana. That is what true love is. There was nothing to do but fall on the bed and cry." So, Della sells her most beloved thing that she has. Her hair. Her hair was the most beautiful thing that you had ever seen. When she cuts her hair then sells it, she receives twenty dollars for it. Enough to buy Jim, her husband, the most glorious gift she could get him. She went from shop window to shop window looking for the perfect thing. She then found a gold pocket watch chain that would go with Jim's most precious pocket watch that he has. She then returns home to wait for Jim to get home from work. When Jim got home he was shocked to see Della's hair had been cut. He had bought her the most beautiful jewel clips for her hair. He afforded them by selling his pocket watch. Some people don't think that dogs can sense an emotion but they can. They can sense when you are feeling sad, mad, or happy. In the video that I have it also talks about how an owner's pet can be the best companion for them when they are dealing with an emotion. A dog can sense, especially when they are close with their owner, when they are dealing with an emotion. The bond between a dog and human will always be there through thick and thin. A dog and human are the best companions for each other to have. They have a special bond that can get you through whatever you may be dealing with. I have a special type of bond with golfing because, I get to go outside and see beautiful scenery when I golf and I'm not half bad when I golf. When I golf it makes me feel relaxed and happier because I get to play a sport that I love. Since I joined the girl's golf team, for school, I feel like I have gotten better at golfing. Mr. Luebke, the golf coach, has taught me a lot of new things since I joined golf team. He even said that I might make varsity next year, which is really exciting for me. He is the puppy that I got after my hunting dog, Fly, died of cancer. Since, she died I was not as happy as I use to be. But, training Remi makes me forget to feel sad about Fly dying. Remi and I have this type of bond because, I get to train him all by myself and he is starting to follow me all over where I go. He always starts jumping and shaking when he sees me because he knows that we are going for a walk.
