What are some easy to start greenhouse plants?

tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumber, eggplant, dill, fennel, basil, Italian parsley, sage, thyme and oregano, pansy, snapdragon and marigolds

First, we researched which plants would grow well in our greenhouse. Then we chose our seeds to plant. We then went into the greenhouse and took inventory of the greenhouse. After we took inventory, we filled each of the containers with potting soil and planted our seeds. For the rest of the week, we watered our seeds.

We watered plants daily and checked their progression from a seed to a seedling. Some of my cucumbers started to sprout.

When should we fertilize our plants?

We researched to find the best time to fertilize our plants. I found that the best time to fertilize plants is when their "true leaves" appear and photosynthesis starts. This is usually 2-3 weeks from the time of planting.

All of my cucumber plants have now sprouted, and they are all growing at basically the same rate.

We continued to water our plants. My cucumbers are growing well, and jason's watermelon finally started to sprout due to the increase in temperature in the green house from all the sunlight recently.

When to transplant seedlings

The best time to transplant seedlings is when there is no longer a danger of frost for your climate zone, and when the plant is about four inches high.

This week we fertilized our plants and my cucumbers have been growing very quickly.

Some of our zucchini plants had leaves that started to fold in which is a sign of disease or an insect problem. We sprayed the plants with a fungicide and insecticide. This should protect our plants from farther damage.

My cucumbers grew a lot.Most of Jason's plants have started to mold and don't look very good

We started selling our plants this week. At the end of the week we have sold about half of our plants already.

Week 8 ~ 5/27/14-5/30/14

This is our last week of school and most of our plants are sold now. We are still watering jason's watermelon as they continue to slowly grow.
