The teacher actions that we explored supports tier 1 because it's creating classroom culture. The video shows that the students trust the teacher enough to engage in the activity based off of his mastery of content and delivery.

One thing I am committed to in my Tier 2 instruction is make content relatable and accessible to all students. Also provide multiple supports: visuals, modeling/think aloud, videos, written instruction, etc.

The teacher made it more enjoyable for students to learn in different ways. Ways that they can understand. As teachers we can embedded additional opportunities for students to practice the core actions of lessons. The teacher explicitly reviews the key vocabulary. Every model required students to interpret what multiplication means as a comparison, making the concept concrete and visual. The teacher prompts students to, turn and talk to explain models and equations. Use sentence frames like,

“I notice...” “I see that...” “___ is ___ times as many as ___.”
