Health care is important for everyone because it effects everyone's health in a major way. It impacts six different categories, “Access to health care impacts: Overall physical, social, and mental health status, Prevention of disease and disability, Detection and treatment of health conditions, Quality of life, Preventable death, and Life expectancy" (Health Care, 6). Many people have health care which helps their families live a long healthy life. On the other hand, there are also many people that do not have health care and they have a harder time living a healthy life. Cost is a major contributor to people not receiving having health care because it is too expensive. Cost is not the only barrier that keep people from getting the health care they need. “These barriers to accessing health services lead to:, Unmet health needs, Delays in, receiving appropriate care, Inability to get preventive services, and Hospitalizations that could have been prevented" (Health Care, 6). These effects could have been prevented if people had access to proper health care. 
The word "Coverage" is used a lot in today's society. This insurance helps cover expenses for some health care needs, like going to the doctor's office. People who do not have health care insurance are far more likely to have a life long struggle with health and healthy living. The following are often the results of not having medical coverage, “Less likely to receive medical care, More likely to die early, and More likely to have poor health status" (Health Care, 6). Not all different types of health care provides the best assistance. When looking for health care you have to check on the provider that you may be visiting. There are three reason's that you want to check for to see if the company is a good provider or not. They include, “Greater patient trust in the provider, Good patient-provider communication, and Increased likelihood that patients receive appropriate care" (Health Care, 6). These are good qualities that every provider should have. If the health care provider does not exhibit good qualities then many people will leave without being seen or it will decrease patient satisfaction. I have severe allergies and I need a lot of medication to keep me from reacting to allergies all the time. I am allergic to peanuts, and with our health insurance, we get the EpiPens, which are a very expensive medication, at a more reasonable price. Recently the drug company bumped up the price of the EpiPens and made them so expensive that many people could not afford them any more. Even with insurance it got harder to get the EpiPens for me because they became so expensive. That medicine can save my life and without it I could die. Having health insurance is a positive thing because it reduces the price of my life saving medicine.
