Rising temperatures are also affecting Antarctica. We should pay more attention to this because it will throw everyone around the world off balance. Like how it says on the website, Antarctica regulates global climate by slowing global heating, it drives ocean currents, and helps diminish the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. However climate change is disrupting these systems.

It is said that by 2030, 118 billion extremely poor people will be exposed to extreme drought, floods, and high temperatures. Not only that, but the cost to even try to stop climate change is really high and is not possible for them to adapt to. Although it is reported that exceptional rainfall has caused many deaths in both Sudan and South Sudan.

Not only this, but in cities like Houston, Texas, where temperatures normally stay around the 50s, the temperatures have dropped to 30 degrees or lower. These are clear signs that the environments around us are changing rapidly because of increases in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

Although Houston is keeping itself on track by having an action plan already set in progress. Overall our greenhouse gas emissions did drop from what they were in 2007 because of new implements of renewable energy sources.
