The Sullivan Building needs painted walls, inviting classroom spaces, and wall displays showcasing student and faculty work. We need shared spaces (or even just one) where faculty and students can eat lunch brought from home and have a cup of coffee/tea and enjoy the kinds of informal interactions that occur in those spaces.

Structures for collaboration re: shared courses and cohorts

I think we need structures/systems to facilitate communication and collaboration among those who teach the same or similar courses and those who teach the same cohorts of students.

Improving the physical space should be a priority for investment. We should have classrooms that students are excited to learn in and we are proud to teach in. We should have inviting spaces for community and collaboration. Our values and school culture should be represented in our building.

To piggy back on the previous post- I enjoying working and teaching from home as well as coming to campus. I appreciate the flexibility offered. I would like to have purposeful connections and collaborations in both settings- intentionally carving out time in person to collaborate while also being able to follow up and continue work virtually.
