Some things I found during reading this is that frontal shots on deer are risky but can be a very good and vital hit. When Bow hunting it is better to wait and try to get a broadside shot on the deer. With a frontal shot there is a greater chance of error and you could hit bone or muscle before the vital organs like the lungs and heart. While using a gun you can feel confident about taking a frontal shot because of the speed and penetration of the bullet. - Blaisee

In the ruling, Judge John R. Tunheim found that plaintiffs have plausibly plead that defendants conspired to suppress the price of fed cattle and increase the price of beef. This case has been active and ongoing for almost two and a half years. How long will it take till this lawsuit is finally settled? I thing it is truly unfair that processing companies are able to just raise and drop the prices how and whenever they want. They buy the product for cheap and then sell the processed product for outrageous prices. Do you think it is fair for them to treat farm operations like this?

If the season were to end right now the Hawkeyes would be in the college football playoffs alongside Alabama, Georgia, and Penn state. Iowa takes on number 4 Penn State on Saturday in a battle that will most likely determine the Big ten championship. Iowa is currently 5-0 and hopes to go 12-0. In conclusion I think that the Hawkeyes have earned the number 3 spot in the nation.

This article is a true story where a drunk man gets reported as missing by his wife after not coming home one night. The man then wakes up the next morning in the woods and when he sees people searching for a missing person he decides to join them, not knowing they were looking for him. Later when he realises they are looking for him he finds his wife. Reading this story I thought it was funny because some people are just so clueless. I also thought this story was a little weird though because if the man who was reported missing was with a friend then where did his friend go? There are a lot of different underwater mammals you probably haven’t heard of. Some of the ones that I learned about were the dugong, false killer whale, and the Long finned pilot whale. The dugong share certain similarities with land Elephants. It's a very slow moving creature that mainly feeds on seagrass and marine algae. The false killer whale is similar to an orca whale and has a dark grey body color. It feeds on fish and squid and moves at about 18 mph. And last but not least the Long finned pilot whale is very social and is very good at swimming and is very fast. Iowa State is better than Iowa.

During my reading time I read an article entitled, “Missing 14-Year-Old Found Dead in Woods With His Dog" by Ellen Killoran published on September 29, 2021. This story was about basically what the title reads. A 14-year-old teen was found in the woods with his dog. The teenager had just gone to walk his dog. Parents say they think he was supposed to meet up with someone he had met online but they were not sure if that was what he was doing. He was found in a wooded area, but the day he was walking he had been walking along the highway.

This is an interesting story. I think more details need to be found so we could find out if he was meeting up with someone and how he was dead. It leaves me with some questions because the case is not completed. I also think that you should not meet up with people you meet on online gaming. That is not a safe decision.

In the amount of time I had to read about cooking I found out a lot about how to make this certain food type. I was reading about how to make Reese's Brownie Bits and they looked very delicious. I will definitely take this into consideration and try it in my free time. A personal connection I made during this text is that I love to bake and cook because I am usually bored and this sounds like a fun activity to do when bored. These treats are on the tiny size, but they pack a punch and are deliciously decadent. It seems so fun and creative.

I was very interested in this article due to how I find dinosaurs interesting. I am also excited to see if any more new dinosaurs are to be found, or if more information about dinosaurs we already know about. I also found it exciting that even more dinosaurs were also found near the Menefeeceratops' remains. The article also details how the scientists hope to uncover more information about the past ecosystem, which makes me happy because it can help with getting into new dinosaurs.

Did you know that you can grow vegetables in the winter? I just learned that there are actually many vegetables that survive a big frost and can even taste better after multiple freezes! And this first one is spinach! Despite its tender leaves, spinach is a tough little plant. It survives winter easily without protection, and bounces back in early spring with renewed vigor. Colder climates may see their crop die back after a hard freeze, but sprout new leaves in spring. Then there is lettuce! Once established, the plants can survive down to at least 0°F, giving you plentiful salad greens all season long. Collards are high-yielding plants loaded with incredible flavor that only gets better the colder it turns. Cabbage is another really good vegetable to plant for the winter. And chard is also really good because it survives down to 15°F before needing cover. Others that are really good for surviving the winter are salad burnet, sorrel, leeks, carrots, turnips, rutabagas, parsnips, and winter peas. I thought that this information that I learned was really interesting because I thought that all garden plants died in the winter. Now I am curious and excited to try planting these and see if I can grow vegetables all year long!
