Exercises step 20 presentation Lentizdalton https://padlet.com/Lentizdalton/step20/wish/1005620111 In step 20 you have to make the following exercises to prepare for the presentation:

1. Reading
- choose a character
- think about the story with your character in mind
- take notes and brainstorm
- describe what your character looks like
- talk about your character's background
- describe your character's personality
- describe how the character changes or grows during the story.

2. writing
Write a minimum of 10 sentences about the setting of your story. Use these questions to help you get started:

  • Where is the story set? 
  • When is the story set? 
  • What is the weather like? 
  • What does the landscape look like?

Think of the following aspects to describe a setting:
- Time/historical period
- Geographic location
- Local colors (traditions/customs)
- Atmosphere
- Specific Physical features

3. Listening
Watch two dialogues from films to get an idea of such a conversation.

Write down the words and phrases the characters use to introduce themselves.

4. Conversation
Write a dialogue between your character and your partner's character. This doesn't have to be from the same book.

First think of the following:

  • Where does the meeting take place? 
  • When does the meeting take place? 

Include in the conversation:

  • greeting each other
  • introducing yourself or asking who someone is
  • explaining what you are doing there
  • asking and telling what has happened to you
  • asking or telling how you feel about the event or the situation
  • reacting to these feelings
  • ending the conversation
