Not having interest is also one of the reason/factor that will make the communication fail. Interest is very important in having a conversation because without it, the receiver most likely will not pay any attention to what the sender is saying.

Example:
A teacher having a lesson regarding Science but some of the student only loves to listen and study MATH.

-EJ PALER
-JELON II L.

Not being interested will significantly diminish the conversation, leading to a pointless and short-lived duration of the conversation, not to mention making it bland and boring that you would not be worth the time to listen if you do not make the topic interesting and intriguing.

An example to it is the relationship between the student and the instructor. If the instructor lacks the verbal output of explaination and making the topic lively than it is, it will make the students more tired and less intrigued to learn. Another example is the conversation between people where if one just started a conversation just solely on small talk, it will just be small talk and most likely end up being in an awkward position both the speaker and listener.

-ELY JADE PALER
- JELON II L.

Distractions, these are a very big and unpredictable factor when it comes to communication, as the receiver you want to be able to hear and focus on what ever the speaker has to offer. This is difficult if we add distractions into the mix, since it can muddy up the message and, make it really hard to hone in on whatever the speaker has to say. Distractions can be both "internal" and "external".

An example for an internal distraction would be, if you're listening to a speaker and then BAM! you get a sudden migraine forcing you to lend you're focus to your situation, and as a byproduct not listening on what ever inspirational mumbo jumbo the speaker got off a TEDTalk.

-ZACHARY BRICX B.

A disability is any condition of the body or mind that makes it more difficult for the person with the condition to do certain activities and interact with the world around them, especially when communicating. Disability affects the flow of communication because it affects a person's ability to understand and be understood by others. We all know that communication is one of the most challenging parts of their lives because individuals frequently have difficulty expressing their needs, putting words to what they are experiencing, reading signs, being misunderstood, or being heard. Lastly, when communicating with a person with a disability, it is important to take steps to ensure that effective communication strategies are used.

Example :

A mute person needs help asking for directions, but an individual cannot understand because he or she doesn’t have any knowledge about sign language.

- KIMBERLY PACALDO
- LORAINE DAQUE
