An accomplished architect based in Memphis, Tennessee, Tom Marshall has played a role in several of city’s most iconic structures. He oversaw the design of the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid, which features the tallest freestanding elevator in the United States, a glass-floored overlook, and a 10,000-square-foot aquarium, and led the redevelopment of the Memphis Fairgrounds. Additionally, Tom Marshall served as lead architect for the Memphis City Schools five-year master plan, which aimed to optimize existing infrastructure and saved $51 million in its first four years.

A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Mr. Marshall holds a bachelor of arts in architecture. He also earned a master of arts in architecture from the University of Illinois School of Architecture, and in 2011 participated in a program at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Since 1986, he has worked for O.T. Marshall Architects, a second-generation firm established in 1956.

When he is not working, Mr. Marshall enjoys playing squash, hunting, and fishing.
