Research Title: Exploring the Challenges and Strategies of English Teachers in Teaching Deaf Students in Special Education School in Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Research Question:

1. What challenges do English teachers encounter while teaching English for deaf students?

2. What strategies do the teachers use to help deaf students to learn English?

Short Description: using qualitative as a method, the data gathering will be using interview and observation, the respondents are the teachers in the special education in Yogyakarta who teach English at least one year of experience and have some challenges and strategies for solving the challenges when they teach English for deaf student.

Research title:

The Correlation between Students' Grammar proficiency and Self-Confidence in Learning English

Research questions:

1. How is the EFL students’ grammar proficiency?

2. What is the level of self-confidence among students in their EFL studies?

3. Is there a significant correlation between grammar competence and selfconfidence among EFL students?

Short description:

Its a quantitative study using correlation. Research instruments are Test and Questionnaire. Data will be analyzed using SPSS. Study will be held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta with students batch 2023 as the participants. The participants are they who have had taken Capita Selecta on Grammar course in the beginning semester.

Research Title:

WORLDWALL AS A DIGITAL LEARNING TOOL: AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' GRAMMAR SKILLS

Research questions:

1. What are the students’ grammar scores in the pre-test?

2. What are the students’ grammar scores in the post-test?

3. Is there a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test grammar scores?

Short description:

This research aims to assess students' performance in English grammar as measured by pre-test scores, to evaluate any improvements reflected in the post-test results after the intervention, and to examine whether statistically significant differences exist between pre-test and post-test scores. Therefore, this research uses a quantitative approach and experimental design.

The instruments

the researcher will utilize include tests (pre-test and post-test), instructional plans, and Wordwall digital tools.

This research will be conducted in a private private Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Yogyakarta. Researchers only need one group in this study. The researcher chose class VII-A in the 2024-2025 school year as the sample in this research. The total sample of this study consisted of 25 participants.

Research Title : A Mixed-Method Study on EFL Students’ Use of Quillbot to Enhance the Quality of Their Academic Writing

Research Question :

1. How do students perceive the benefits of using Quillbot in improving the quality of their academic writing?

2. What challenges do students encounter when using Quillbot to support their academic writing process?

Short descriptions:

This study aims to identify the attitude and perceived, then benefits and challenges of EFL students in using Quillbot to enhance their academic writing. This study uses an explanatory sequential mix-method design. Using the interview guideline and questionnaire as the data collection tool. The participants in this study are ELED Students batch 2023.
