By the way further research activity is necessary for improving its efficiency and for a full assessment of AD implementation and role in different sectors and international contexts. Also co-digestion, WtE and sustainable waste management topics will be of interest for the session.

International invited speakers both from the industrial and academic sectors will propose some ongoing and future research activities:
