Being too personal on the first impression can lead to other people thinking poorly of you because they have already come out with too much personal information. First impressions are a kind of social schema or a mental representation we form about people in our social environment. If we meet someone for the first time and they give off a great impression and then the second time you see that person they act differently in a behavior that may be annoying, you will often make up excuses or explanations that will disregard their behavior, saying "he's not feeling well". According to the book, similarity, physical attractiveness, proximity, and reciprocity are all key factors of attractiveness (Nevid, 2012, page 496).
To be attracted to someone, I want some one who shares similar interests and has the same physical appearance.
