In a lush garden, there lived a proud peacock who was admired by all the animals for his beautiful feathers. One day, a humble sparrow approached the peacock and said, “Your feathers are indeed beautiful, but do you think they are more important than your virtues?”

The peacock was offended by the sparrow’s words and said, “Of course, my feathers are more important than anything else. They are the reason why I am so admired.”

The sparrow replied, “But what use are your feathers if they do not reflect your inner beauty?”

The peacock was ashamed of his arrogance and decided to change his ways. He began to focus on his virtues and started to help other animals in need.

Soon, the peacock realized that his virtues were more important than his feathers, and he became a respected member of the animal kingdom. And the humble sparrow became his true friend, guiding him to become a better peacock.

The Story of Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih

The story of Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih tells the tale of two sisters with opposite personalities. Bawang Merah was cruel and selfish, while Bawang Putih was kind and caring. They lived with their widowed mother, who favored Bawang Merah over Bawang Putih.

One day, their mother asked Bawang Putih to go to the river to wash some clothes. Bawang Merah saw this as an opportunity to get rid of her sister and sent her to the forest to gather firewood. While Bawang Putih was in the forest, she met an old woman who gave her a magical fish that granted wishes.

Bawang Putih used the fish to help people in need, while Bawang Merah used it for her own selfish desires. Eventually, the fish was lost, and the sisters had to face the consequences of their actions. Bawang Putih was rewarded for her kindness and became a queen, while Bawang Merah was punished for her cruelty and became a beggar.

 The Legend of Crying Stone

Once upon a time in Borneo, there lived a poor widow and her daughter. The girl was really beautiful. However, she was very lazy and spoiled. She loved to dress up every day, but never helped her mother.

One day, they went down to a village for buy something. A market was far away from their house. They walked there.

The girl got dressed very nice and walked in front of her mother. While the mother walked behind, carried a basket, wore dirty clothes. Nobody knew they were mother and daughter.

While entering the nearby village, people looked at them. Young men were so fascinated by girl’s beauty. However, she was in contrast to a woman walking behind her. It made people wonder.

Some young men asked her whether woman was her mother. But the girl arrogantly replied that the old woman was her maid. More people asked her along the way to market. She gave a same answer that her mother was her slave.

Eventually, the mother was really hurt to hear her daughter’s answer. Mother prayed to God to punish her ungodly daughter.

Suddenly, girl stopped then slowly turned to be a stone. The daughter cried and apologized to her mother.

But it was too late. The pretty girl was turned into a stone forever but continued to tear her regret to her mother.

Roro Jonggrang

Once upon a time, there was a big kingdom named prambanan. Prambanan people lived happily and peacefully. However, the prambanan kingdom was attacked by pengging kingdom. Prambanan was then led by the prince of pengging, bandung bondowoso. Bandung bondowoso was cruel and bad manner leader.

Bandung bondowoso often watch roro jonggrang. She was a Prambanan princess and she was very beautiful.

One day, bandung Bondowoso purpose Roro Jonggrang, but she was refused it. she wont marry with someone who kill her father. Then, Roro Jonggrang found a good idea. she would to marry with Bandung bondowoso if he could build 1000 temples in one night for her.

The Little Mermaid

Deep in the ocean, there lived a beautiful mermaid named Ariel who longed to explore the world beyond the sea. She was fascinated with human beings and their world, and one day, she saved a prince from drowning in a shipwreck. She fell in love with him and decided to seek help from the sea witch to turn her into a human.

The sea witch agreed to turn her into a human in exchange for her voice, warning that if she failed to make the prince fall in love with her, she would turn back into a mermaid and become the sea witch’s prisoner forever. Ariel agreed to the terms and became a human, but the prince was already engaged to another woman.

Ariel tried to win the prince’s heart, but failed. In the end, the sea witch was defeated, and Ariel’s father, the king of the sea, allowed her to become a human permanently and marry the prince.

I did not do much during my quarantine for the past two weeks.

I was still able to work from home, since I was a freelancer. I chatted with my family via video call. I also took as much rest as I need, took medicine and vitamins to help me fight this virus from the inside.

My experience being a patient of this virus and my days during quarantine have been valuable and it taught me about health and vigilance.

According to tradition, Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus in 753 BC. They were twin brothers, sons of a human mother and the god of war, Mars. After their birth, the king ordered them killed. They were placed in a basket and put into the Tiber River - left to die from exposure in the outdoors. But their basket washed up on the river bank where they were found by a female wolf. The wolf nursed the hungry babies and cared for them until they were found by a shepherd.

The shepherd and his wife raised the babies as their own. Romulus and Remus grew up and helped overthrow the king who had ordered their death. They wanted to build their own city along the Tiber River where their basket had washed ashore. They disagreed about where it should be, and Romulus killed Remus during their quarrels. Romulus built the city of Rome on one of the seven hills along the Tiber - the Palatine hill - and lived a long life as king of Rome.
