Description: the video talks about the true Story of the Stephen king book and later made into a movie "The Shining" the video talks about the original hotel that was said to be haunted called "The Stanley" Hotel. The video states that Stephen King had a dream while staying at The Stanley and wrote his story The Shining. The video also states that The Stanley is apparently haunted by friendly ghosts.

Connection: This video connects to the topic of haunted houses because the video talks about the original haunted house that gave Stephen king the inspiration to write his biggest bookseller "The Shining". The red flag that the video has is Proof by Verbosity. The video has a lot of information but not a lot of evidence of anything being said is true.

Description: This is a video that talks about The Island of the Dolls which is A island where a little girl drowned and a guy named Julien felt bad he couldn't save her so he hung up what he thought was her doll on a tree and kept hanging more dolls to pay respect for the girl. The island became a tourist attraction where tourists can hang their own dolls on trees. Later on, Julien drowned in the same location where the little girl drowned.

Connection: This video is connected to the topic of Haunted houses because although it is not a house per say it is said to be haunted by the girl who drowned in the river. The red flag that the video has is Ancient wisdom. This story has been passed along through many generations and no one really knows if it the island is haunted or not. This video also has the red flag Appeal to Authority because The island has been in many news articles and is a attraction as the video states.

This video talks about the story of how the Winchester Mystery House came to be. The video states that the owner Sarah Winchester had a curse where everyone she ever loved passed and she went to a medium and contacted her husband who told her the only way to stop the curse is for her to keep building. She later bought a farmhouse and started building nonstop. She built rooms within rooms making labyrinths. in the end, the house had 160 rooms according to the video with most being bedrooms. Sarah was said to sleep in different bedrooms every night to keep spirits away.

Connection: This video is connected to the topic of Haunted Houses because this house is said to be haunted and Sarah the owner was said to be cursed. She kept building to stop the curse and keep the spirits happy. The red flag in this video is confusion of causation and correlation. Sarah Winchester had lost all of her family throughout the years. Sarah got scared and started thinking they all died because the family was cursed including her and she kept building to prevent the curse from affecting her. No one really knows if her family was really cursed or if it was all bad coincidences that they all passed away

Description: This website talks about the story of the Whaley House. The website says that the house was built under a piece of land where there was a hanging of a thief named Yankee Jim Robinson. Once the house was built the family had a death in the family then moved. later on, the family moved back and they claimed that there was paranormal activity. The house later became a convenience store until the owners moved and came back for the kid's wedding. The daughters of the owners got married and one committed suicide. The Owner's descendants lived in the house for generations. Nowadays it is a tourist attraction that no one lives. that is claimed to be haunted.

Connection: This website connects to the topic of Haunted Houses because it talks about a haunted house and the origin of the house.

1. What surprised me most about this topic was post #6 The park in Singapore. It surprised me because I never knew the park existed.

2. A real-life example of how this is relevant to me is, In the future, I might want to visit one of these haunted places to see the locations and if I am lucky see the ghosts.

3. The research that I found the most interesting was Post #10 Berry Pomeroy Castle. I found this post the most interesting because the story was very interesting and I never heard of the castle before. The castle looks very beautiful. The story about the two women was very detailed and I enjoyed reading it.

4. What I am most likely going to remember from this assignment and topic would be about The Stanley Hotel which the book "The Shining" was based on. I will most likely remember the research on The Stanley Hotel because it was interesting to learn how the Shining came to be. The Shining was the First ever Stephen King book I ever read and because of it, the book is important to me.

5. Having completed all of this course the pseudoscience belief that I find the most harmful would be Medical Pseudoscience because It can be very harmful and may even lead to death. The pseudoscience belief that I believe is the least harmful is Haunted Houses because their many red flags to the stories that the chances of any of the stories being real is very rare so if someone goes to the haunted house they will probably be fine.

6. If I could pass down my knowledge to family and friends about what I learned. I would tell them about The Stanley Hotel to teach them where the inspiration for the book The Shining came from.
