         <description><![CDATA[<p>There was an ice age because of the volcanic eruptions in the arctic  ocean and the water evaporating in the air.  That made a lot of water in the air and since there was a lot of water vapor in the it snowed A LOT!</p><p>Our climate today is actually a warm mix between these many periods of glaciers The most recent period of glaciers, which many people think of as the Ice Age,"was at its height approximately 20,000 years ago.Scientists believe that the ice age ended because of effects on global warming CO2 was the big driver of global warming at the end of the Ice Age."Between 20 and 16 million years ago,  The ice age went through a brief cooling period</p>]]></description>
