1. I think it is true, but it may not be in certain situations. I remember that I would hear my parents or grandparents say that they would give money to someone that seemed like they had money every time we drove by someone that seemed like that had money, but when we drove by someone that didn't have money or looked like they did, my parents or grandparents would give them some money.

2. I think they support it because there was a time where Adele was getting so many rumors and getting bullied that no one but Owen helped her out since she looked like she was so closed that she didn't seem like she needed help

The topic of the short story is conformity. Owen learns throughout the story that everyone went to one side of the group rather than looking in more deeper in who Adele was. People went with conformity of internalization because they were afraid to be seen as different and get humiliated as well, while Owen had a compliance conformity because he had stuck up for Adele, but then went to his friends side of the group of belief in the end, due to being tired of defending her for so long AND didn't want to lose his friends either.

Q: Did you understand what lesson she wanted the audience to learn? Why or why not?

A: She did a wonderful job on lending out the message of what the lesson was. At first, I did not understand what she was trying to teach me with the lesson, but once I went through the questions, I finally understood what the lesson was. Their "tradition" in their story actually reminded me of something similar that was done in religion in the past where you would stone someone to death if they have sinned or were a sinner.

According to the video, what is the difference between in-text citations and a reference list?

1a. In-text citations are citations in the paragraph while the reference list is the full list of the citations with all of its details

2q. Why would someone need to use any of this information when writing?

2a. So you don't seem like you're stealing information from anyone and actually citing where you got the info from, and giving that author or whoever credit.
