Everything was made from air in his mind. If he truly believed everything was made from air, then he must have also believed that everything was- to some extent- a god, or part of a god, infinite and without measure. While he believed air made up everything- including the soul and gods- he also believed it was only revealed through heat, cold and wet. Air would change form into fire and water, through rarefaction and condensation. Believing all heavenly bodies were flat, he also believed that they were borne upon the air. The Earth would cover the air like a lid and remain borne in the air by the pocket of air it trapped under it since the air had no room to go elsewhere. The other celestial bodies such as the sun, moon and stars, came to be through condensation and rarefaction of moisture coming from the Earth. He believed that these sky-borne bodies were also flat and kept up by the air.
