Language education policies and Council of Europe support the things that are helpful to improve pupils’ language learning process. There are numbers of materials suggested through language curriculums with this purpose. Some of these materials involve technology usage and web 2.0 tools. Todays’ world offers a learning environment full of digital tools. However, involving them in the process is not an easy job to do. Therefore, this project aims to fulfil this empty spot by providing students a chance to use different web 2.0 tools for different purposes.
The name of the project derives its roots from video blogs and the pronoun “we”. It is created in order to foster our students’ language learning abilities through vlogs. Mainly, it focuses on the productive skills of English language by involving peer evaluations and language learning process in it. They will create different videos and written products in order to practice language skills. With this project, they will get the chance to create their own vlogs on Flipgrid. They will also assess their peers through Flipgrid. This will promote the use of alternative assessments in language teaching and learning as CEFR suggests. Consequently, students become more autonomous and take the responsibility of their own learning. These activities are supported by language curriculums in order to enrich our students’ language learning process. These sorts of technological integrations also positively motivate students towards English language. As our project fosters student interaction, it also provides a chance for them to improve their 21st century skills such as collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity with the help of created videos and some other materials.

In February, logo and poster preparations, distribution of tasks and roles among partners, creating communication channels, introducing partners and students, and other requirements of the project will be done. Later on, each month, students are going to create their own videos about the given topic and upload these videos on Flipgrid. In addition to these, in March, students are going to create comic books about customs and traditions to increase their cultural awareness. In April, students are going to create brochure about environmental or health problems in order to raise awareness among their peers. In May, students are going to create a piece of advertisement on a newspaper about a technological device or an invention. With this, they will improve their creativity and productivity.

With the help of this project, students are going to be exposed to the target language more, which will directly affect their language learning process in a positive way. Creating videos about different themes will positively improve students’ both speaking and pronunciation skills while creating written materials mentioned above will improve their writing skills and vocabulary knowledge. With this way, we, as teachers, will try to increase the language exposure time of our students since spending much time on language supports language learning process positively. We aim our students to work and produce a material collaboratively, which will be decided by all the partners of the project via an online survey.
