This album cover represents my love for music. Pierce the Veil is also one of my favorite bands and its the band that got me to open up to all sorts of music, I grew up listening to a lot of hiphop so that was all I listened to. Pierce the Veil wasn't as mainstream as a lot of the music I listened to so once I got into it, I began to expand my musical horizons, and I realized that I liked a LOT of different music ( even though I still really like my Hiphop).

This picture represents my love for Anime. I reallllly love anime, it was something that I have been watching since I was young and I love it. Although this specific anime below isn't the first anime I've watched it is among my top 3 favorites, I love the art style and the plot, it has great animation quality, the color and fluidity of the art is amazing and I enjoy it immensely.

This picture represents my desire to travel and to see the world. When I was younger the thought of leaving my home and going to somewhere different terrified me, I got homesick and I cringed at the thought, but as i grow older I realize that I would abhor the idea of only being kept inside the same 4 walls for the rest of my life. I want to go out there and see what the world is made of, to experience the different atmospheres and cultures, to taste the different flavors and to breathe in the different air.

This picture of a norms breakfast represents my love for food. I LOVE FOOD!!! especially breakfast, if I could I would eat breakfast all day everyday ! Breakfast is what I wake up in the morning for, literally. I just have a special relationship with breakfast and norms breakfast is always a good breakfast, although I do prefer my eggs to be scrambled and for my bacon to be soft rather than crispy.

This picture of a library represents my love for reading. I really enjoy reading and being able to escape or "see" a new perspective towards life, and experience and learn about things you didn't know of already. I actually don't enjoy reading a physical book as much as I do an electronic one, I actually hate the smell of books it gives me a headache, but I do read books and I like reading them I just don't like the smell of the paper >.<

This song is really important to me, its one of my favorite songs since I was I think about 6 years old. I know this song speaks of a relationship and of love, but when I hear I feel like it speaks of life. I feel like it represents as to what my life has been up till know and at the end of the day I'm still just an ordinary person. I think the first time I heard it was actually late at night when my dad was watching tv, and to this day when I hear it I think of my dad. This song connects with me on a spiritual level, I love the arrangement and the way the John legend sang this is so beautiful and literally this song is a representation of the relationship I have with myself and my struggle with self-love.

This quote is important to me, because I find kindness to be very important. I don't like the selfishness and apathy that we have as a generation and as a society. Maybe that makes me sensitive or too naive, but just because someone is kind to other and isn't a complete jerk doesn't mean you aren't a person with wisdom or that your someone that has lived a perfect life, or hasn't felt hard-ships. I feel kindness and consideration to others is seen as a weakness, as if the capability of kindness is lost through life, no one is perfect, but why can't we be kind? The things that we pay the most attention to are negative, we like to indulge in petty things. We live shallow lives as a society and are affected with an institutional disease that requires us to live selfish lives. We want to be successful and give back to those that have helped us and that support us, but at what cost? We'll grow up to live and be apart of a society that is based on the theory that it's every man for himself. So even a little consideration and thought for others will really make all the difference.

Frida is a very prominent part of the arts of Mexico, although I feel she represents a more liberal, less traditional Mexico, she is someone that is an icon and a symbol for the new generation. She goes against a lot of traditions, but she still connects with those traditions, she is the flip side of the coin of culture, she is the anti-.
I feel she is significant to my culture because she challenges the more misogynistic and restricting side of the Mexican culture, Her self-portraits represent and new sense of beauty and it disrupts the classic kind of idea of beauty that my culture has. The way women are portrayed and are seen as is very different and she gives us a different extreme and allows for us to be exposed to a more contemporary beauty.
