To support the learning of early years at home you can ensure you are communicating with your child and asking them about their day and engaging within tasks such as painting or involving them in tasks you have to do such as writing a shopping list because it’ll help their development and teach them how to become independent. This support influences a child’s voice because it shows they are valued and seen and that you are interested in them and wanting them to grow and become successful so them becoming engaged and asking questions and having enquiries about a task you are doing with them helps them become confident and know it’s okay to be involved. As a result of this, this influences the learning of children becoming independent and creative and to think in a critical way because they have to use their imagination in certain tasks.

Ruby, Holly, Lily.

Reading- intellectual understanding and encourages them to voice their opinion on the book. When reading you’ll need a book, a quiet space, and comforting relaxing environment to enable the child to focus and learn from reading. you’ll also need to be able to act out the words and encourage the child to join in, so that was the child will stay entertained and it’ll make the activity more fun.

Made up play(dollhouse)-creativity and learn correct behaviour they use there voice to act out the characters. This will reveal there real life perspective of the world and give them a voice on how things should work, whilst having fun. You’ll need a realistic dollhouse and a comfortable space for the child to sit and play.

Help make a shopping list- It gives them a say on what they want and a sense of freedom and they have a say and get to make a difference within there household.

You’ll need paper and a pen for this activity and a nice setting with a table to be able to write properly.

Craft-painting drawing- This encourages creativity in the child’s mind and gives them a sense of freedom due to the nature of a creative mind. Some people even express there feelings through art which the child may also do, which would help them express there feelings and reduce built up emotions. For this activity you’ll need a table with a cloth as it can get messy and paintbrushes with a canvas.

Another way to support their learning is you could create an activity that requires animals and you can act out the noises because it’ll help the children create schemas for the animals with the noises and information you give for example repeatedly telling them that a cow goes moo and it has four legs. This supports a childs voice because it encourages them to get involved and being creative with their imagination too because they can create scenarios.

Ruby, Holly, Lily

Another way in which you can support your child’s learning and development at home is you can introduce the child to vegetables and fruit and explaining to the them the importance and how they are positive for your body. In doing this you can make it engaging so they don’t get bored by creating an activity where the child has to match the fruit and vegetable to a colour and then teach them the names and to help with development too you can get them to touch them to help with the sensory side of a child’s development too. In doing this it helps a child develop their voice and make them feel secure and engaged because they can say if they like the way it feels if you ask them leading questions relevant to the activity. It also helps their development with colour, different textures and their language aswell as making them feel engaged and confident to give it a go even if they do get it wrong so if they get it wrong talk to them calmly so they know mistakes is okay.

Ruby, Holly, Lily.
