a.      You (and your partner) will perform a respiratory therapy competency (assigned by your instructor).

b.      Use your smart phone, or borrow a camera from the learning commons, to record the video . You will upload your video via padlet using a Youtube link. Make the video unlisted in the settings.

c.        Duration: approx. 5-10 minutes (maximum time- 10

minutes).

d.      Provide a commentary while performing each task (what you are doing and why).

2.     Evaluation:

a.      How to create a high-quality educational video: refer to rubric below which outlines how you will be evaluated (and what points to focus on).

3.     Video Submission:

a.      Please submit the video via Padlet on or before April 6^th 1159pm.

4.     *Tips for more points: create your own patient scenario and explain why you are doing the skill (in your own words);  be creative, use humor, diagrams, pictures, drawings, models, graphs; make it realistic (use RT equipment, have an actor for the patient if possible); know your procedure/content (you are the RT expert! J)

Note: also discuss how the equipment works and any troubleshooting tips (i.e. what to watch for when using the equipment and if any malfunction/human error could potentially cause harm to a patient etc); indications/ contra-indications, patient presentation (signs/sympthoms etc) that would require this treatment/procedure.
