Date: 25/8
Title: Bernice bobs her hair
Summary:
This story is about a girl called Bernice, she was considered pretty but boring and different from her cousin Marjorie, who is adorable and witty. At first, at a party, no man wants to dance with her and she was really upset about that. So she decided to listen to her selfish and unkind cousin, and everything worked. Men started to ask her for dances and many of them cut in on Bernice’s partners. Bernice also told them that she would have a bob hairstyle and actually she didn’t mean to have it. Unfortunately, everyone asked her when she would cut her hair and she was under pressure but then the thought that she shall really be famously popped into her head so she decided to cut her hair. As a result, she was unsuccessful with that hair and men didn’t find her attractive anymore. The morning before she left, she quietly cut her cousin’s braids and left them in front of Warren’s house - the man that was crazy about her cousin and ran. She regretted that she had listened to her cousin’s advice and thought that she should have scalped the selfish thing.

Date: 20/8 (Saturday)

Title: The cut-glass bowl

Summary:

It is a short story about the marriage of Evylyn Piper, a gorgeous woman, and Harold Piper. At first, it was a happy and loving marriage, then Evylyn cheated on her husband with a man called Fred. Until her husband found out her terrible fault, everything about their marriage collapsed. On her thirty-fifth birthday, her daughter cut herself by the bowl and unfortunately lost her thumb. Her father was drunk and did not know about his sick daughter last night. At forty-five, Evylyn became older and always looked unhappy, Julie (her daughter) hated meeting people and had an artificial hand. The most disaster that happened to a mom is that her son was dead during the war and she knew this through a letter in that bowl. She tried to throw that bowl down the steps but sadly she fell to the ground and couldn't move.

I feel something stroke in my throat and this story has such an unforgettable impact on my 18 years old soul that I did not expect the title and the plot to be this different because this is about an unhappy marriage and nothing is happy or positive in this so I cannot decide which two things I like. I think people will find out about her and take her to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Capulet family grieves for Tybalt, so Lord Capulet moves Juliet's marriage to Paris to the next day. Juliet’s parents are angry when Juliet doesn't want to marry Paris, but they don't know about her secret marriage to Romeo. Friar Laurence helps Juliet by providing a sleeping draught that will make her seem dead. When the wedding party arrives to greet Juliet the next day, they believe she is dead. The Friar sends a messenger to warn Romeo of Juliet's plan and bids him to come to the Capulet family monument to rescue Juliet. Hearing from his servant that Juliet is dead, Romeo buys poison from an Apothecary in Mantua. He returns to Verona and goes to the tomb where he surprises and kills the mourning Paris. Romeo takes his poison and dies, while Juliet awakens from her drugged coma. She learns what has happened from Friar Laurence, but she refuses to leave the tomb and stabs herself. The Friar returns with the Prince, the Capulets, and Romeo's lately widowed father. The deaths of their children lead the families to make peace, and they promise to erect a monument in Romeo and Juliet's memory.
