Lastly, because we can help other countries troops that are allied with us so they can keep their troops warm aswell. I coose this poster because it showed a smaller but very important view to the war. That it wasn't talking about how many bullets that they needed, it was talking about the clothes the troops needed so they could keep warm and so the country could have a good economy. By saying rivets are bayonets means that they need metal to make weapons like bayonets and other things like that. Since our troops need weapons they want us to hand over enough metals so they can make weapons so they can keep on fighting the war. I like the poster because it gives it a sense of importance with the soldier on the battle field with an American flag waving in the back.  That’s why I think this is a great propaganda poster for the war.

This comparison betwen rivets and bayonets, while false, is effective at convincing civilians that even their seemingy mundane work does indeed help the soldiers on the front line.         I think that this poster means that everything is a weapon, and that the army needs anything you have for the effort. I think that this poster came from the part of the war where armies were running out of money and needed donations to continue the war. In the poster, people were also told that if they gave there rivits, they would drive back the enemy, so that people thought that they could do something very important for there nation.

When the poster says "Our Boys" it is talking about the poor soldiers in the war, that are fighting for our country. Women, and men, could help by knitting socks to keep the soldiers warm. I chose this poster because it is a very important concept, and I think it can make a big iin the war.
