While collaborating with amazing artists from Lost Dog we had an opportunity to learn and view performance making process in completely new light and get familiar with their unique style.

This collaboration helped me to develop my skills in movement on stage and to expand my understanding of same since I did not had any previous (pre-uni) experience with movement.

During this workshop we were challenged to push our limits with movement and enrich it with other artistic elements such as music/soundscape/sound and voice effects.
This collaboration challenged me to learn and explore how to create soundscape that follows the already filmed video and also helped me expand my video editing skills.

Furthermore, we were challenged to come up with creative ways to move the audience between spaces without interruptions or confusion.
Moreover, we were challenged to create a pitch to sell our performance.

This workshop had the main focus on group movement. We were given many exercises which challenged our peripheral vision and sense of space and people around us.
At the end we took those exercises outside where the challenge grew more because of bystanders and weather conditions.

During this workshop we were exploring all available spaces in our university building and their performative potential. At the very end we were required to make a short repetitive performance that we had to show in chosen space for 20min while our audience had freedom to explore the building searching for performances.
In the end we created a performance festival ‘The Other Space’ on our university based on this idea.

Musical improvisation

For this two short performances I was collaborating with my friend and an amazing new contemporary artist Aria Dičpetrytė. It was a ‘last minute call’. Two hours before her performance I borrowed a guitar and came up with a rough idea of chords and progressions I would use, which corresponded to the mood she wanted to set.
During this two short performances everything was improvised and created in the moment.

This was my second collaboration with an amazing theatre group Barrel Organ. During a week long workshop we created a live streamed/digital performance experience which was enjoyable both live and on screen named ‘Bolts of Being’. During this project I have learned how to operate camera on stage and kept testing, understanding and improving my skills in stage design.
