I chose this picture for the assignment because as the person in the photograph was growing up she didn't have a father. I chose this photograph to express a different way of not having a dad. Mario and his brother have grown up together with out there being that "father figure" in their life, except their mom. Whether it's a complete stranger, or a close friend, anyone could have gone through the struggles of not growing up with that father figure. Also this being the only place that reminded him of his dad, their old house.

I took this photo because as Mario being my friend it was an easier process for him to explain reasoning's of him growing up with out a father. But with her, she's a complete stranger so having to tell your story to a stranger isn't as comfortable. Even though everyone has different stories to tell, they're all similar in someway. I chose another picture of Mario because of the happiness it shows.
