Development Psychology is how we change over our life span. Physical, emotional, and mental changes are evaluated by Developmental Psychology. These components are collectively apart of our being. In our lifetime we will go through physical changes when we grow from babies and beyond. There is a process in our growing. We do not simply appear and began talking and walking, and etc. There is a process of stages that we grow in.
Our emotional part continues to grow as we began to experience life. As infants we are beginning our lives and start to experience emotions. While we are growing we are continuing to development and get in touch with our emotions. Our social interactions began when we are born and continue to follow us as we grow into adulthood.
Our mentality grow just as our bodies grow. We begin learning when we are born and the learning continues into our adulthood and beyond. Our mental state is an ongoing factor. As we grow older we should be able to use what we have gone through in life as lessons and we should be able to learn from what life has taught us!

Lifelong, plastic, and multidimensional, are three principles of life span. When I think of the lifelong, I think of the how one may think that at a certain age our development process stops. Amazingly there is no age cut off point when it comes to living life! I find joy to know that when if I reach the age of 100, that I would think of all I have conquered and continue to look forward to learning and experiencing new things!
Plastic development has to do with change. There has been debate among developmentalists about of plasticity persons have at different times in the midst of development. Multidimensional is a multiple in its dimensions. All of the uniqueness that defines us individuals are collectively brought together. Every aspect within our lives has impact with itself. Our thoughts, the relationships we have, our lessons learned in life, and our minds ties in together. Dimensions include, thinking, biological, and socioemotional develpment.
