Samsung has had to account for the political instability within the economy as well as the threat of war breaking out in the Korean Peninsula.&nbsp;<br><br>Aside from political issues effecting the domestic market, Samsung realise they have to face frequent&nbsp; political factors in African and Latin American countries where the political environment is unstable and prone to change. &nbsp;<br><br>Samsung, being a global business had to create a strategic plan of action to factor in the political instability of certain communities/countries.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This dimension is especially critical for Samsung, as the opening up of many markets in the developing world has meant that the company can expand its global footprint. However, this dimension is also a worry since the ongoing global economic crisis has severely dented the purchasing power of consumers in many developed markets forcing Samsung to seek profitable ventures in the emerging markets. The key point to note here is that the macroeconomic environment in which Samsung operates globally is beset with uncertainty and volatility leading to the company having had to reorient its strategies accordingly. The strength of the Korean won is a large factor for Samsung’s success. In 2014, the company blamed the declining Korean currency for the 25 percent profit decline. But that’s not the only thing to blame; the slow developing smartphone market was put on the chopping block. Followed closely by time, it takes years to develop the new version of Samsung products, resulting in stagnant sales. Not everyone swaps out a functioning, pre-existing phone just because a newer version has appeared.&nbsp;Big brands like Apple and Google are direct competitors. Samsung remains the leader in the phone manufacturing sector. Samsung relies heavily on phone sales to keep the lights on. Paving the way of innovation is the only way for Samsung to remain on top.</div>]]></description>

The difference in social status comprises the demand of products as well as willingness of the people to work. Samsung has included its strategy of global thinking and acting locally. Despite expanding across a large number of countries, Samsung has still had to tailor its products in consideration of local customer needs. There are both positive and negative implications for the business when considering fast changing consumer preferences. It can have a positive affect one business negative for another. A brand like Samsung have to be aware of such socio-cultural pressures when planning their marketing efforts. Samsung have evolved well with the demand for large screen smart phone and mobile gadgets. The brand is also showing great growth with its galaxy series, as it has been quite popular across major markets. The company also acts in an ethical manner and accepts the fact that corruption can seriously have negative implications on the brand worth of the company.</div>]]></description>

This means that the company is at an advantage as far as harnessing the power of technology and driving innovation for sustainable business advantage is concerned. This has translated into an obsessive mission by the company to be ahead of the technological and innovation curve and a vision to dominate its rivals and competitors as far being the first to reach the market with its latest products is concerned. however, as we shall discuss later, this has also resulted in the company cutting corners with its imitation of the legendary Apple’s product design and this has brought legal and regulatory scrutiny and troubles for the company. There is a lesson here for other technology driven companies from Samsung’s experiences and it is that no matter how fast you are to reach the consumer in this age of Big Bang Disruption, doing the basics right is still the key to success.</div>]]></description>

Apart from meeting the needs and preferences of its customers, Samsung has strict laws to offer a good working environment and meet other environmental requirements. Samsung Electronics gives the utmost priority to the environment from the moment product planning begins until a product’s final disposal. Samsung their best to make our products as environmentally conscious as they are functional&nbsp; from conserving resources and making new inovative products to ensuring they are easy to recycle at end-of-life. Samsung follow Eco-design process which is environmental-friendly evaluation method used during the product planning phase. Through this process, samsung identify a product’s particular features aligning with Environmentally Conscious practices like using a minimum of resources in manufacturing, eliminating unnecessary packaging, distributing efficiently, and recycling products effectively at end-of-life. Furthermore, the product was designed in a way that enables disassembly with ordinary, easily obtainable tools, and its plastic components comply with the 100% material labeling rule to make recycling easy.</div>]]></description>

Things took a sour turn for the company when its Galaxy Note 7 started exploding all over the world. 527 disappointed customers from South Korea filed a lawsuit against the company. company. The diseased customers were seeking compensation for the cost of exchanging the device and the psychological damage caused by using a dangerous phone. Sometimes it can be difficult to find its way out of the legal maze in developed nations pertaining to a variety of lawsuits. The company is also required to follow several employment and tax related laws, otherwise the brand might have to face serious repercussions. Being a multinational tech brand, Samsung has to abide by the legal norms of the global market. Samsung has prepared a comprehensive framework of rules and regulations for staff and other areas of workplace. The various strategies of Samsung involve ways to avoid the potential troubles that might arise out of the legal maze.
