         <description><![CDATA[<div>Put the students in small groups.<br>Give each group an iPad that has the photographs from the Holocaust on it. The students will look at the photos without the original captions and make their own notes about the photos. <br>(This is substitution because instead of having the photos be printed out, the students will view them on the iPad.)<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The students will be able to write on the photos and make comments or circle important parts of the photograph. This way, the students can discuss the photograph with their group and visually show important aspects of the photos.&nbsp;<br>(This is augmentation because if the students were to write on paper and pass the photos around, the next groups would be able to see their comments, which could lead to less critical thinking on their part.)</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The students could create a padlet and include their interpretation of the photo and answers to the worksheet questions. As more students examine the same photo, they would add their new comments to one padlet. The juxtaposition would make it easy to see similarities and differences between interpretations. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Enriched Virtual Model</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After making their notes on the photos, the students will then meet with their teacher to show them their thoughts and comments on the photos. The teacher can then show them the real captions and help them further their thoughts and understandings of the photos. This is enriched virtual because the students are required to meet with their teacher, but the rest is online and their own findings. </div>]]></description>
