I focused on practicing the guitar during this class. My warm-up was just some tuning and some strumming improving those skills. I learned and practiced Bob Marley's Redemption song. I practiced for around 15-20mins

I would say that right now at least within music class I'm able to meet most of the challenges and not get distracted or lose focus. While I had a long streak I've started to forget about filming practice journals. The first thing I would do to improve is to remind myself twice a week to film a Practice Journal. I would also start to strive to learn something new per every practice journal. The last thing I would do to improve within music class would be to elaborate and communicate my struggles or questions with the teacher or peers. Mr. David has reminded me to film more practice journals and I've said how I will improve.

I believe that for a group setting like a band or orchestra, both communication and social skills help to enrich the experience and overall music as both of these sets of skills help you to know where others are and help you work with the rest of the class. I belive that within music I should work on my research skills as by researching diffrent musicians and genres I can learn more around music.

I would say that the current biggest challenge that I face as an artist is probably self-management, not because I don't stay on task during class but more because I tend to procrastinate with practice journals, avoiding them for a while until it's almost too late. I find collaborating the easiest really because it is typically helpful for me to learn by seeing other people do it in a group and then asking them for more specific help. The one challenge that I will mostly focus on is self-management as it is the one I'm mostly lacking in and I will do this by creating a more flexible schedule that allows me to get more excited for recording thus allowing me to do it more often.

Today I warmed up by tuning before I practiced some of "from the start" for around 20 minutes but I mainly focused on Pauls dream next time I will probably do the same.

Today I practiced for around 30 minutes before I practiced some "from the start", mainly working on my fluidity when it came to switching chords and then I started to fully focus on Pauls dream really trying to incorporate strumming with more than 1 finger to help improve the timing, next time I will continue working on strumming with more than 1 finger and I will try that with a different song.

I warmed up by tuning my guitar before practicing chords like E, E#, and C, and I worked on "pauls dream" mainly focusing on making playing that high up more comfortable and easier, I also focused on from the start continuing from last journal with progression on fluidity before I finally started to work on strumming with more than one finger, which proved to be quite difficult, so I started with easier songs before working my way up to "the redemption song" playing it with my thumb and pointer finger which was my main focus, I was practicing for around 30 minutes. Next time I will try to perfect playing "Paul's dream" and I will try to incorporate using more than 1 finger as well.

I succeeded in memorizing the actual chords and working with the other guitarists to make a more harmonized and overall better performance. Following that I felt next time I could firstly wear all-black (something I forgot) as well as listen to other parts of the song like piano and drums. The other 7th-grade class performed "September" and their performance was very energetic with a lot of emotion along with a very harmonized instrumental section. Finally I would say that I improved throughout the course of the year as I learned how to quickly swap chords along with how to play as a group better.
