Before coming to the University of Arkansas, I was a high school student in Frisco, Texas. I had the opportunity to do a non-paid internship through the Frisco Independent School District for education. I was able to go into a first-grade classroom every day and learn how to run a classroom, pick up on certain knowledge on how to navigate certain situations in a classroom and test students on what they have learned. The picture above is my last day in the classroom with the first graders.

Now a student at the University of Arkansas, I am gaining the education to be a teacher. I have taken many different courses to expand my skill set as a student. I have also taken the time to start doing things to build my resume for interviews and internships. I recently applied for my program here at the University of Arkansas. The picture above shows a class I was previously taking whilst at a elementary school up in the NWA area.

After graduating from the University of Arkansas with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and my Masters in Childhood Education, I hope to be a first grade teacher. I don't exactly know what state/ area yet but I have a feeling it will be in Texas where I grew up. The picture above is what I would want my ideal classroom floor plan to look like when I am finally a teacher!!
