Fast/Slow Shutter Speed

To change shutter speed you have to make sure the camera is set on Shutter Priority. Then you use the dial to change the shutter speed up or down. Slow shutter speed allows in more light and captures a motion blur. Fast shutter speed allows in less light and captures a moment in time. You want to use Shutter priority if you are either trying to make a blur or wispy effect, or you are trying to capture a moment in time.
