Indeed, in the first text my ideas seemed to be all over the place. The elements could have been placed in a more coherent way. In order to eliminate this problem, I combined a few sentences using coordinating and subordinating conjunctions. Because I had an English-speaking parent, I had the opportunity to go to an English elementary school. I am very thankful that I took advantage of this possibility, as it made me more comfortable with the language itself. Over time I grew a passion for the Anglophone culture. For example, I would tend to reach for English books rather than French ones. I would also prefer to watch movies in English rather than in French.
