         <title>Eliezer Meets Moishe The Beadle </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"<strong>And why do you pray, Moishe?" I asked him.</strong></p><p><strong>"I pray to the God within me for the strength</strong></p><p><strong>to ask Him the</strong></p><p><strong>real question</strong>" (Wiesel pg.5).</p><p><br/></p><p>This was the first conversation Eliezer had a conversation with Moishe The Beadle. They were talking about why they pray. </p><p><br/></p><p>This is the first moment we have of Eliezer and Moishe The Beadle having a conversation with each other. This shows us how dedicated to his religion and it shows us that Moishe was going to be his mentor. This moment is important because Moishe tells Eliezer to only trust in himself he pushes Eliezer to think more critically which will later come to help Eliezer survive the concentration camps. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Eliezer gets sent to the Concentration Camp </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"<strong>The door of the car slid aside. A German officer</strong></p><p><strong>stepped in</strong></p><p><strong>accompanied by a Hungarian lieutenant, acting as his interpreter.</strong></p><p><strong>"From this moment</strong></p><p><strong>on, you are under the authority of the 23 German Army."</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>This is when Eliezer found out that they weren't going to another ghetto. </strong></p><p><br/></p><p>This is the moment when Eliezer found out he was going to be sent to the Concentration camp and while on the way there they were in the carts for 2 days little air in a cramped space and little food and water and there was a women who started going crazy saying she saw a fire  she kept saying "Fire! I see a fire! I see a fire!". these past 2 days Eliezer had to learn how to survive in this harsh living space. </p>]]></description>

         <title>Eliezer arrives at the concentration camp</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"Hey kid how old are you?" <strong>The man interrogating</strong></p><p><strong>me was an inmate. I could not see his</strong></p><p><strong>face, but his voice was weary and warm.</strong></p><p><strong>"Fifteen."</strong></p><p><strong>"No. You're eighteen." (page 30)</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>This when Eliezer arrived at the camp and they had to ask him questions to determine he's useful to the camp or not.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>This moment that's happening is going to make Eliezer realize that he's going to have to lie a lot to be where he is at also Eliezer realizes how insane this camp is when they burn people shoot them or hang them just for a small mistake. Also the questions they ask him to see if he's in good health or not and if he's over age or not in good health they burn him and this was the last time he was going to see his mother and little sister when they got separated. </strong></p>]]></description>

         <title>Eliezer gets paired into a Kommando</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>"Would you like to get into a good Kommando?"</strong></p><p><strong>"Of course. But on one condition: I want to stay with my</strong></p><p><strong>father."</strong></p><p><strong>"All right,"</strong></p><p><strong>he said. "I can arrange it.  (page 48)</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>When Eliezer arrived at the camp they had to get paired into kommando's and people said Buna was the best one.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Eliezer realized that these kommando where he was going to be staying each Kommando being different but Buna being the best one he tried to get into a good Kommando with his father but they got put into with Idek who is apparently a good kommando and their work was easy but Eliezer caught Idek with a women and he got whipped until he passed out.  The job Eliezer had to do was to count bolts, bulbs and various small electronics he also met 2 boys named Yossi and Tobi who quickly became their friends in the camp. </strong></p>]]></description>

         <title>Eliezer starts to question his god</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>"What are You, my God? I thought angrily. How do You com-</strong></p><p><strong>pare to this stricken</strong></p><p><strong>mass gathered</strong></p><p><strong>to affirm</strong></p><p><strong>to You their faith,</strong></p><p><strong>their anger, their defiance? What does Your grandeur mean, Mas-</strong></p><p><strong>ter of the Universe,</strong></p><p><strong>in the face of all this cowardice,</strong></p><p><strong>this decay,</strong></p><p><strong>and this misery? Why do you go on troubling these poor people's</strong></p><p><strong>wounded minds, their ailing bodies?"</strong></p><p><br></p><p>During Rosh Hashan <strong>Eliezer didn't fast like the others did he started to question if his god is his savior or real.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>This changed Eliezer because he started saying "Blessed be God's name?" "Why, but why would I bless Him? Every fiber in me rebelled. Because He caused thousands of children to burn in His mass graves? Because He kept six crematoria working day and night, including Sabbath and the Holy Days?</strong></p><p><strong>Because in His great might, He had created Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buna, and so many other factories of death?" he started saying these words to him because of the deaths he has seen the people getting burned and that nothing has changed while he's been there. He felt alone in the world without man or god without love he was all but ashes he says. </strong></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>"Faster, you filthy dogs!" We were no longer marching, we were</strong></p><p><strong>running. Like automatons. The SS were running as well, weapons</strong></p><p><strong>in hand. We looked as though we were running from them.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Eliezer has to evacuate the camp before the Russians can get to them.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Eliezer has to evacuate the camp because the Russians were arriving to the camp at first they were marching but then they had to run they couldn't stop for a break they couldn't stop for anything they just had to run and if they didn't they would get shot and Eliezer had a open wound and he was bleeding from it. While he was running a man named Zalman was going to give up he couldn't take the running anymore so he dropped everything and died. They ran for so long that Eliezer would sleep while running until they made it into an Abandoned village. Eliezer slept next to the pile of corpses Eliezer was going to have to learn how to survive in these conditions. </strong></p>]]></description>

         <title>Eliezer gets sent to Buchenwald</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>"<strong>The last day had been the</strong></p><p><strong>most lethal. We had been a hundred or so in this wagon. Twelve</strong></p><p><strong>of us left it. Among them, my father and myself.</strong></p><p><strong>We had arrived in Buchenwald."</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Eliezer arrives to Buchenwald after days of traveling.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>While Eliezer was getting sent to Buchenwald in the cart he was in he explained that being there felt like he was in a cage full of animals. When they passed a German town people started throwing bread in the cart and the inmates started attacking each other like feral animals sharpening their teeth and nails one point an old man got a crust of bread and ate it but his son attacked him for it and killed him then later the son was killed over a piece of bread. Later in the night a man was strangling Eliezer he never found who  was strangling him and he never found out why he was even being strangled when they traveling to Buchenwald there was at least 100 inmates and when they arrived there was 12. </p>]]></description>

The orders were given over the loudspeakers: "Form ranks of fives! Groups of one hundred! Five steps forward!" I tightened my grip on my father's hand. The old, familiar fear: not to lose him" (page 104)</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>When Eliezer arrived it was just like another concentration camp with the same routine again.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>When Eliezer arrived in Buchenwald they immediately had to form ranks of 5.  They told the inmates to go to the showers once they were done with roll call after they were done his father couldn't walk his was very weak he told Eliezer that to go to the showers without him for he can rest Eliezer knew his father was going do die very soon but he tried his best to make him stay alive he did his best but as the days went by his father was getting weaker and weaker. days later and they were beating his father for food his father begging Eliezer to help him but he didn't. </strong></p>]]></description>

         <title>Eliezer becomes free from the Nazi&#39;s </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>"OUR FIRST ACT AS FREE MEN was to throw ourselves onto the provisions. That's all we thought about. No thought of revenge, or of parents. Only bread. And even when we were no longer hungry, not one of us thought of revenge. The next day, a few of the young men ran into Weimar to bring back some potatoes and clothes—and to sleep with girls. But still no trace of revenge." (page 115)</strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>On April 11 Eliezer was finally free from the concentration camp. </strong></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Days before Eliezer became free there was news that Buchenwald was going to be attacked and when the attack happened burst of gunshots Grenades exploding Eliezer and the other inmates fell to the ground to cover themselves around noon everything was calm the SS had fled from the battle Eliezer was finally free before he was free though anything he did didn't matter because his father wasn't alive but that didn't matter to him anymore. </strong></p>]]></description>
