Serbian troops deported all non Serbs out of Bosnia and would even kill some who didn't leave. Many IMMIGRANTS were forced into other countries in or around Yugoslavia.

They were all living peacefully together until their leader, Josip Broz Tito died. Each nation tried to send their own leader, but nothing worked. Countries showed their NATIONALISM by declaring their independence from Yugoslavia, including Bosnia. Part of Bosnia was left open, and Serbia was going to claim it.

Over 8,000 men and boys were killed during this time. Thousands of women were deported or put in INTERNMENT CAMPS as well.
