1. Alzheimer's disease is a brain disorder that becomes more severe over time. It is characterized by changes in the brain that lead to the accumulation of certain proteins. Alzheimer's disease causes brain shrinkage and eventually death of brain cells. Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of gradual loss of memory, thinking, behavior and social skills. These changes affect a person's ability to function.

2. There are several methods that can help improve memory. Here are a few techniques you can try:

Practice active recall: Instead of simply re-reading information, actively try to recall it from memory. This can be done by quizzing yourself or summarizing the information in your own words.

Use mnemonic devices: Mnemonics are memory aids that help you remember information by associating it with something more memorable. For example, creating acronyms or visualizing vivid images can make information easier to recall.

Break information into chunks: Instead of trying to remember large amounts of information at once, break it down into smaller, more manageable chunks. This can make it easier to process and remember.

Get enough sleep: Sleep plays a crucial role in memory consolidation. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to help your brain retain information.

Stay mentally and physically active: Engaging in activities that challenge your brain, such as puzzles or learning a new skill, can help improve memory. Additionally, regular exercise has been shown to have positive effects on cognitive function.

3. When trying to memorize new words, there are a few strategies you can use. One effective method is to create associations or connections between the new word and something you already know. For example, you can try to relate the new word to a similar-sounding word in your native language or create a mental image that represents the meaning of the word. Additionally, practicing active recall by using the new word in sentences or conversations can help reinforce your memory of it. It's also helpful to review and repeat the new words regularly to reinforce your learning.

4. Chess is a strategic board game that has been played for centuries. It is played on a square board divided into 64 squares of alternating colors. Each player starts with 16 pieces, including a king, a queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. The objective of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king, which means putting the king in a position where it is under attack and cannot escape capture. Players take turns moving their pieces across the board, following specific rules for each type of piece. Chess requires critical thinking, planning, and foresight, as players must anticipate their opponent's moves and strategize their own. It is a popular game that is enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels.

5. Aging can bring about various concerns for individuals. Some common aspects of aging that I worry about include physical health decline, cognitive decline, loss of independence, financial stability, and social isolation. It's important to prioritize self-care, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and seek support from loved ones and healthcare professionals to address these concerns and promote overall well-being.

AFTER YOU WATCH

1. Alzheimer’s diseade is the most common type of dementia. It is a progressive disease beginning with mild memory loss and possibly leading to loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment. Alzhemer’s disease involves parts of the brain that control thought, memory and language.

2. What methods of improving memory do you know? There are several effective methods for improving memory. Some of these include: - Get enough sleep: Quality sleep is essential for memory consolidation and retention. Aim for 7-9 hours of sleep per night. - Stay physically active: Regular exercise can improve blood flow to the brain and stimulate the growth of new brain cells. - Engage in mental exercises: Activities like puzzles, games, reading, and learning new skills can help keep your brain active and improve memory. - Eat a healthy diet: Foods rich in antioxidants, good fats, vitamins, and minerals are known to provide energy and protect against brain diseases.

3. When learning new words, I have some effective methods I can use to memorize them: Repetition: Repeat the word several times, silently or out loud. This can strengthen memory and make the word more familiar. Then I will review in intervals of 3 days - 7 days - 14 days - 1 month - 2 months. Occasionally, I also use Flashcards: Create flashcards with the word on one side and its definition or an example sentence on the other side. Then I review the flashcards regularly to strengthen my memory.

4. I know quite a bit about playing chess! Chess is one of the oldest board games in the world, and also one of the most popular. Chess is a two-player strategy game played on a square board divided into 64 squares of alternating colors. Each player starts with 16 pieces: one king, one queen, two rooks, two knights, two bishops, and eight pawns. The goal of the game is to checkmate the opponent's king, which means placing the king in a position where it is under attack and cannot escape capture. There are various opening strategies, middle-game plans, and endgame techniques to learn. It's a game that rewards strategic thinking, pattern recognition, and analytical skills.

5. The aspect I'm most worried about is Biological Aging. Age-related immune system changes make it more difficult to fight infections and viruses. Biological aging can also affect digestion, spine, joints, vital organs, and other parts that help with movement and daily functioning. Hearing, vision and dental health can also be affected by biological problems. Along with that is poor memory. Our memory also declines significantly as we age. At some point, we cannot remember our loved ones and the people around us.

The more times you ‘see’ a word the more easily you will remember it.

Use the new words. You need to use a new word about ten times before you remember it!

Do word puzzles and games like crosswords, anagrams and wordsearches.

Make word cards and take them with you. Read them on the bus or when you are waiting for your friends.

Learn words with a friend.

The speaker talked about the differences in shopping behavior of women and men. She gave 2 cases about 2 people: 1 man and 1 woman going shopping together, Jack and Jill. They both bought a pair of black pants. Jack only bought 1 and for less than $80, it just fit. Jill bought it for the purpose of attending a party at the office. She chose 5 or 6 pieces into the fitting room. She sees different benefits from different pairs of pants, plus she's attracted to their price. They are on sale. There is a graphic table shown, showing the shopping process of the two of them. With the red line representing Jill's shopping process and the blue line for Jack. The graphic shows that Jill has 3 hours and 26 minutes to shop and try on clothes while Jack only takes 6 minutes. Along with that is the price of the goods they purchased. Jack only spent $33, while Jill spent $876. The graphic shows that women have higher shopping needs than men. Women's shopping purposes are more diverse than men's, they can include: love, discounts, shopping for relatives: children, husband, etc.

Link the video:

https://youtu.be/24vgDovxJyo?si=QoVY5CT2oYg09Fgx

Shopping behavior can vary widely among individuals, and it's important to recognize that generalizations about men and women may not hold true for everyone. However, certain trends and patterns have been observed in the shopping behavior of men and women. Keep in mind that these are broad generalizations and may not apply to every individual.

Shopping Behavior of Women:

1. Detailed Decision-Making: Women often engage in more detailed decision-making when shopping. They may consider various options, compare features, and take into account factors like brand reputation and customer reviews.

2. Social Shopping: Women tend to view shopping as a social activity. They may enjoy shopping with friends or family, seeking opinions and advice during the process.

3. Emotional Connection: Women may form emotional connections with products, valuing the overall experience and aesthetics. They may be more influenced by how a product makes them feel.

4. Browsing and Exploration: Women may spend more time browsing and exploring different products and stores, enjoying the experience of discovering new items.

5. Value for Money: While women appreciate quality, they may also be more focused on getting value for their money. Sales, discounts, and promotions may influence their purchasing decisions.

Shopping Behavior of Men:

1. Efficiency and Speed: Men often approach shopping with a more goal-oriented and efficient mindset. They may prioritize speed and convenience, focusing on getting what they need quickly.

2. Task-Oriented: Men tend to be more task-oriented when it comes to shopping, focusing on the specific items they need and less on the overall shopping experience.

3. Individual Decision-Making: Men may prefer making decisions independently and might be less likely to seek input or opinions while shopping.

4. Brand Loyalty: Men may exhibit stronger brand loyalty, sticking to brands they know and trust rather than exploring new options.

5. Functional Considerations: Men may prioritize functionality and practicality when making purchasing decisions, emphasizing features and performance over emotional factors.

It's essential to recognize that these generalizations do not apply to everyone, and individual preferences can vary significantly. Additionally, societal attitudes toward shopping behaviors are evolving, challenging traditional gender norms. People should be understood and respected as individuals with unique preferences rather than being stereotyped based on gender.

Moreover, It may come as no surprise that men and women tend to shop very differently.

Here's what we'll cover:

1. Men shop on mobile devices more than women

2. Women research and comparison shop online more than men

3. Women are more influenced by social media and reviews than men

4. Women explore and men are goal-oriented

5. Women are more deal driven when shopping online

AFTER YOU WATCH

1. Alzheimer's disease is the most common type of dementia. It is a progressive disease beginning with mild memory loss and possibly leading to loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment. Alzheimer's disease involves parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language.

2. What methods of improving memory do you know?

There are several effective methods for improving memory. Some of these include: Get enough sleep: Quality sleep is essential for memory consolidation and retention. - Eat a healthy diet: Foods rich in antioxidants, good fats, vitamins, and minerals are known to provide

and improve memory.

Age- related immune system changes make it more difficult to fight infections and viruses. Biological aging can also affect digestion, the spine, joints, vital organs, and other parts that help with movement and daily functioning.
