1. I think the battle scene stuck out the most. To me it was just the most intense and entertaining part of the chapter. The battle was called 'The Battle of Cowshed".
2. The writing was good in my opinion. It was really descriptive and had a lot of unique words. It was easy to follow and very understandable. There aren't any sentences that stood out that I can remember. Except there was one that had the word flogging in it. I can't remember what it about though. Fun fact: Flogging is a form of punishment in which the victim is hit repeatedly with a whip or stick. If you didn't already know. Facinating huh. This is a pretty violent book. It's interesting though. Sort of.
3. Animal by Pearl Jam.

1. The scene that stuck out to me the most was when the farmers threatened to flog any animal who chanted the song "Beasts of England" out of fear that an animal-led revolution would happen on their farms similar to Manor Farm (now called Animal Farm by the animals).
2. I really like the way it is written because the book has some happy sentences, making you want to feel good, but at the same time there is a very gloomy feeling about the story as a whole that always lingers above all the characters in the story. The sentence that I ruminated about the most was, '"I have no wish to take life, not even human life," repeated Boxer (the horse), his eyes full of tears.' because it shows that some of the animals did want freedom from the humans, but at the same time, they didn't wish malice upon the humans.
3. The National Anthem of Costa Rica came to my head because the story keeps referring to Beasts of England, which is like an anthem to the animals of Animal Farm.

The scene that stuck with me the most was Chapter 8. It increased the sense of mystery and helped show everyone's very different responses to the situation. Blore, Armstrong and Lombard all going off and searching for U.N. Owen, Macarthur waiting for death, Miss Brent's casual acceptance, Wargrave's rumination, Vera's psychotic episodes, and Rogers' continued obedience.
The style of writing, breaking the chapters into sections that show different perspectives, really helps the sense of mystery and also helps you keep track of the time and the characters. one sentence that stood out was when Macarthur said "The end. But I think you know that, don't you? It's true, isn't it? We're all waiting for the end." It shows his sense of resignation and longing. it also seems like foreshadowing.
The book doesn't remind me of any songs, but it reminds me of Among Us.

I feel like Max is going to be a very important character later in the book.

2. The author uses very descriptive words to describe how Leisel and Max tell each other about their nightmares.

3. Instead of a part, I think the character Liesel reminds me of the song "stressed out" by 21 pilots, because in the song it mentions how he has many different feelings, and how he wants to "turn back time" to the good old days when his mom would sing him and his brother to sleep.

I really liked that whole section in general, it had a lot of imagry and meaning behing the pictures and words.
2. I like the writing better now that I understand it more, and I think the sentences that stand out to me more are the ones that are set apart, or really short with a lot of meaning behind the small number of words.
3. It makes me think of how they think this is just how it's supposed to be, but really they are suffering, they just don't know it. Like "of course we don't have enough food, no one does," or "oh yeah every kid does the hitler camp thing, it's normal, I shouldn't retaliate."

1. One of the scenes that has probably stood out for the entire book, and plays a big part of the story, is when Liesel steals her first book from a grave digger called "The Gravedigger's Handbook." Although Liesel isn't very interested in what the book is about, it holds a lifelong memory; The last time she saw her brother, and her mother.

2. The entire feel of the writing really sets this book up, even though it feels long and sometimes slightly repetitive. Having death as the narrator sets the slightly depressing tone to this book, while still having joyful moments within the story.

3. I don't really know any song in particular that the book makes me think of, although the music could be a dark sort of 1940's style scoring with accordions, harmonicas, and any other sort of instrument like those that would fit the feel, also on this note I don't think an entire orchestra would fit either, as it doesn't really set the feeling of poverty in Himmel street.
