For example, I plan for all students to start with the easiest worksheet. Once they complete it, they bring it to me for marking, and then they can grab a more challenging worksheet to continue. However, I feel like I can’t be in multiple places at once because students don’t follow my plan as expected. They struggle to work independently and stay focused on the tasks.

Students who finish quickly tend to gather and make noise while waiting in line for me to mark their work, which disturbs others and wastes valuable learning time. They also get bored with the simpler worksheets and don’t have enough time to tackle more advanced tasks to challenge themselves further.

Meanwhile, I get stuck marking worksheets and can’t provide the extra support that struggling students need, leaving them to struggle without the scaffolding they require. I often feel extremely overwhelmed in these situations.
