         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) There are two part to this, Optical flow and Particle system.<br><br>2) Optical flow, or vector field, is a system where a machine view something and try to create an idea of depth. This was then use to generate the paint stroke for every pixel in the image. <br><br>3) Once we are done with optical flow, it is then feed to the particle system, which will generate the effect based on the x and y transformation information from the optical flow. <br><br>4) That is more or less how they did it.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the time Kodak's Cineon had just released optical flow retimer software. Vincent Ward use this technology to develop the painted world for the movie. They track frame by frame of the live action stills and match the pixelated image with vertical and horizontal graphs. While using the method, they realized that they can change painted pixel image when changing to another frame.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The visual effects team create a lot of generated layers using the optical flow on the painstroke of the painting.using a traditional painters method of painting from background to foreground they differentiate the image into alphas.so when the viewer look into the image,there was actually a lot of depth as a lot of variety of maps were overlapping together.<br>Another thing is they use the optical flow.by generating lidar,they are able to scanned the landscape thus getting the information they need for tracking and generating 3d data.the camera movement helps with the moving paint making the paints as if it is smeared.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The painted world of this movie concept is based of optical flow where the moving image is tracked and turns the particular objects into pantings in motion. <br><br>By using optical flow concept, its basically shows the view of different angles and shots where it is similar to human eyes on how they see the view. So with this 'per pixel' of frame and another frame it gives a depth to the image.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>What Dreams may come movie is using the concept of optical flow, where every pixel is tracked in a moving image in order to turn liveaction scene into paintings in motion. Optical flow is similar to the way humans eyes see the world and able to understand depth through convergence. Basically it is to match each frame to other frame and give you 'per pixel'. <br>In essence, they apply a traditional painter's algorithm and segmented into different alpha channels which give result maybe 10 different maps or different depths. </div>]]></description>

Optical flow has its vision from a machine as it is similar to human's eyes so it able to produce a sight of the images and the depth in them.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The visual effects team created the paintings in motion by using using the optical flow which allows re-timing the footage by using vector field evaluating each pixel and tries to blend in the frames by creating new pixels. The result will look like "Bullet Time" feel and this method is better than frame averaging method which will create ghosting and fading pixels.<br><br>The effects team also using particle system software develpoed by Pierre Jasmin to give a painterly feel. The particle system added Monet-ish brush strokes into the footage.<br><br>To further enhance the paiterly look effect, the effects team also using Lidar technology which will track the environment by camera movement and later generates the 3d or the depth map which later use to "smear" the footage as if like how the painter smears it's own painting with the paintbrush or fingers</div>]]></description>

Then being combined with the particle system that originally was meant to calculate the orientation, depth and variation of axis that involve algorithm that has rgba channel to represent different depth.
