Music was amazing this week! We ran around in circles doing a dance, clapping. It was fun.

In science this week we made tissue box cars called egg racers, and stuck cardboard wheels onto wooden sticks.Then we pushed the wooden sticks through the tissue box. Finally we hot glued-gunned the cardboard wheels on with foam spacers. Dr. Strehlow said that next week on Monday we will make the better, we also raced the egg racers when we were done. Before we made egg racers Dr. Strehlow asked us some questions to get ready for the upcoming quiz on Wensday, we wrote the answers on a whiteboard.

we did a scavenger hunt in our Social Studies book. it was really fun finding every thing in the book with a partner/Zelda.

we made catapults and the next day we did it again but tried to make it fly to the over side of the room.

Math Workshop

In math Workshop we worked more on equivalent fractions and labeled number lines so we could understand it more. Also we started doing Think Central, an online website that we could do our homework on. Also we used a hundreds chart to help us with equivalent fractions.

we wrote fractions on a number line and for home work we did IXL games like Feed Me Fractions.it was really fun.

This week we made mini egg racers, which are basically cars. We used two glued together tissue boxes and stuck 2 skewers through them, then put two cardboard wheels on each side. Finally, we used foam spacers to glue the wheels on and tested our cars. Dr. Strehlow said we will improve our cars each week. We also studied pushes and pulls, forces, and kinetic and potential energy. We also studied friction and catapults

In music we did tons of daces and did a poison beat.it is sow much fun dancing in music.

In science we made little egg racers which are basically little cars. We got into groups and took out two little boxes glued together. We put wooden sticks through the boxes and popped on some wheels. We than put in foam spacers and hot glued the wheels on. We were than finished with our cars.

Dr. Strelow told us that we will upgrade them in the following weeks. And that was Science.
