1. Tibet has the Himalayas which serve as a protective natural border between China and India.
2. Tibet has an estimated $130 billion worth of mineral reserves that China has already begun to mine. These resources include iron, gold, lead, lithium, mercury, and uranium.
3. Many of China's rivers originate in Tibet or from the Tibetan Plateau.
