Ex. Alcohol is a depressants. Its street names are booze, juice, and sauce. Many people drink alcohol. The short term effects are impaired judgement, decreased alertness, lack of coordination, memory problems, and vomiting. The long term effects are liver and brain damage, anxiety, depression, malnutrition, and memory loss.

Ex. Cocaine is a stimulant. Cocaine is either injected, snorted, or inhaled. It is commonly referred to as crack . The short term effects are sleep disorders, loss of appetiite, increased blood pressure, and herat rate. The long term effects are depression, paranoia, irritability, weight loss, irregular heartbeat, seizures, respiratory failure, cardiovascular failure, and liver damage

Ex. Psilocybn is a hallucinogen. It is known as magic mushrooms or shrooms.  Psilocybin is found as a powder in capsules or brewed into a tea. The short term effects are lightheadedness, dizziness, numbness of the tongue, lips, mouth,shivering, sweating, nausea, or anxiety. Long term effects is having hallucinations.

Ex. Ectasy is a club drug. It is referred to as molly. The effects are nausea, fatigue, blurred vision, muscle tension, increase in blood pressure, chills or sweating. Molly may be slipped to someone through their drink. This club drugs makes it easier for people to get raped.

Marijuna is sometimes referred to as cannabis. The effects are distorted perception, difficulties with thinking and problem solving, loss of motor coordination, increased heart rate, or feelings of anxiety or paranoia. This drug is smoked.
