I left Fano at the beginning of July with my dad by car. During the trip we often found traffic, especially near the city center.

Naples is the chief town of Campania' s region. it's in the south-ovest of italy.
Its origins date back to the ninth century a.c. when it was founded the city of Partenope. After that many kingdoms followed one another until the 1870.

The name of the place and where it comes from

In the sixth century a.c. this city was abandoned, thus assuming the name of "Palepolis" (old town), and in the adjacent area was founded "Neapolis", which means in fact the new town. That's why it is called Naples.

The people

Neapolitans are often described as rude people. However I think they are cordial and friendly (maybe too much) with everyone: foreigners and not. They helped us in giving directions and advice (often without understanding).

What i did and what i saw

After laying the bags at the hotel, we walked through the old town, looking at the various monuments. In the following day we visited the waterfront and nearby islands. We also made a short stop in Pompeii and Caserta, and then we went back home.

The weather

the weather was cloudy and the temperature was about 20-25 degrees in the early days. In the following days the temeratures were up and it was not cloudy but clear with a bit of wind.

Neapolitan dialect

Neapolitans are famous all over the world for their particular dialect very difficult to understand. There is a short video below to understand some typical expressions of this dialect. They also think that this is not a dialect but a language.
