This source explains the true nature of the novel. It shows that people only take the book for face value, in other words, they see the n word and scream racism. The novel however shows the unraveling of Huck's racist ideology. Through his travels with Jim, Huck learns that he is no different than him.

This source was incredibly hypocritical. One of the gentleman was wearing a Che Guevara shirt. Che Guevara, in short, was an extremely racist Cuban revolutionary leader who quoted in his autobiography The Motorcycle Diaries:"The black is indolent and a dreamer; spending his meager wage on frivolity or drink; the European has a tradition of work and saving, which has pursued him as far as this corner of America and drives him to advance himself, even independently of his own individual aspirations." Che is also quoted in saying many other racist remarks directed towards blacks. To conclude, this source is not useful in any way to me due to the hypocrisy of the people in the video.

This poem, (Which is a good read on a personal note), interprets that the shallow lyrics in rap are a major contributing factor to the racial division in America. The lack of substance and the artificial lyrics are compared to a never ending circle of linearity, which in turn, has lead to a loss of identity in music, and is the source of most of the bigotry in the Hip Hop community. He says that lyrics need to go back to a more natural form, such as the motion of the sun, and your personal experiences should be a part of your lyrics, instead of just words that rhyme and sound nice.

This poem shows the beautiful coming together of people of various races and cultural back rounds, regardless of language barriers. (Maybe the ticket to world peace is cookies...) Jim and Huck's relationship developed in a similar way. Once Huck started to actually have a meaningful conversation about their respective personal lives, Huck sees that Jim is no different from Huck. They share the same kind of bonds albeit with different people.

Verna Myers in this passionate TED Talk talks about how we should confront our biases directly, but by moving toward the group you are biased to. Huck had no choice but to confront his bias with Jim while they were afloat on the raft. Through their journey, Huck confronted his bias simply by their travels and endeavors.
