Power, lies in knowledge, Knowledge is power. Because we, have strived to understand the world around us, we have become powerful. So powerful, as to create, an environment so real, that it fooled a man. Truman Burbank, proved to us, proved to me, that it is not in our nature to sit and wait, when we find something off about our world. We strive, through these strange occurrences, to unravel these mysteries, even to the point of shattering our own conceptions of reality completely. Now, most of the time we accept the world for what we see it as, a place we have built through our own experiences, and our own poor understanding of the world. But what happens, when that illusion is shattered? When all we know turns out to be a lie? We go catatonic. We look for something, anything to cling to, that allows us to find some grounding in this new reality. 

So who would be powerful in this situation? The people who conquer and accept this new reality. They are the ones who are strong, and the those who are still coming to grips with this new world will be subject to the will of those who have conquered, the can play the orienteer, having them believe what you want them to believe. Truman, till the very end took every word I said even as he stepped out the dome, he believed my every word. 

I told you once that “The truth within me makes me strong” and yet you did not believe, yet despite all, you still strove for the truth of the matter. Through your mockery and insults you made the truth all the more bitter. I suppose that’s in our nature. Regardless of how bleak a truth it may be, you, Oedipus, still endeavored to find it, and in the end you suffered for it. I suppose that despite how happy we can be, with the life we have, the ones we love, we still thirst for more, As though man were born with a hole in his heart, a hole which no amount of riches, power or knowledge could fill. We strive to find more, to find the truth, and to uncover mysteries.
