Says " write something fantastic" ... :) all I can think about is how fantastic everyone is for just being able to put on that smile when you (probably) felt a lot or everything was crumbling around you ...YOU are fantastic for not giving up ...it's been a tough year and it's behind us , but I feel that we'd be able to take anything on after " dealing with this one " and coming out alive :) The only thing that keeps us going is the friendships we create and I feel blessed for having the opportunity to find harmony, empathy and understanding in so many of you - I feel grateful and blessed for becoming a better version of me just because I've had the honor of meeting you ( all staff) and learning from you <3

Thank you for being the best roommate a teacher can have. Not only you were helpful with advise, helped calm panic moments, and give insight to lesson plans, you also helped with trips and take the initiative to organize and work on the logistics when you saw there was a need for it.

I’ve never worked with admin in a school community as supportive and communicative as the team at UASLE. I could be having the worst day, but when you came into the room your smile alone made me forget my troubles. Your positive, uplifting words were appreciated by all (me and students alike). Thank you for always being available to help, no matter how late or how many items there are. You’re always willing to lend an extra hand. I’ve appreciated the levity that you bring to our team. The work you all to is literally priceless. Many days I’ve entered the building to find Gloria and Cori freezing by the back door, waiting to greet kids and check screeners. By the time I arrived to the 4th floor, I’d run into a group of paraprofessionals co-planning and prepping for their day. As I zoomed by the office on, Marcella, Aretha, Soufiane, Shah, and now Odalysse could be found moving and grooving, getting things in order long before the students begin gathering in the yard.

You all are essential, but you’re also so very appreciated.

First things first, congratulations on finishing your first year at UASLE with grace! Second of all, thank YOU for being such a flexible and intentional co-teacher, helping me to learn from your style/ideas. I am in awe of your creative curriculum design skills and how aesthetically pleasing your worksheets/ slides are, seriously. From the short stories to analyzing Lemonade by Beyonce through a feminist lens to a final unit on the Serial podcast, it was so cool. I hope we get to co-teach again next year!
