Adenoviruses (Adenoviridae) are a group of viruses that cause a wide range of illnesses that can affect the respiratory, gastrointestinal, or genitourinary systems in vertebrates. The virus can enter the body through the eyes, mouth, or nose and can be spread through close personal contact with an infected person, travel in airborne droplets, and through contac with a contaminated object.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adenoviridae

"A Case Series of Children with Acute Hepatits and Human Adenovirus Infection" A spike in cases of children testing positive with hepatitis and human adenovirus viremia was observed in 2021-2022. A study conducted indicated that out of 15 children examined, 89% with hepatitis of unknown etiology tested positive for adenovirus. Whether human adenovirus was the causative agent of hepatitis is still under investigation.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35830653/
