First, I put the camera on a a tripod. Then I took 5 pictures of each compositional rule. Each photo was taken at a different exposure (-0.5, -1, 0, 0.5, and 1). I  changed the exposure for each photo by pressing the +/- button and using the back dial to change it to the exposure that I needed it to be at. Finally, I just shot each photo. 

There were also certain steps in photoshop that I had to take in order to create the final work. The first thing that I did was open up photoshop and go to file, automate, and merge to HDR pro. Then, I clicked on browse and selected the 5 photos of the same picture but each at a different exposure. Next, I clicked open and let photoshop do what it needed to do to put all 5 photographs together. Then, I edited the photo using the dials on the right side of photoshop until I liked the way it looked. Next, I pressed done on the bottom right corner. The next step I took was to crop it if I needed to and then click save as my last name, first name, HDR, and then the name of the compositional rule.
