For example in the text when Dante says "he had never heard of Wilmington, so he figured it was far. Figured it was a place buses couldn't go." This quote showed that the setting of Wilmington is strange to Dante and is maybe even scaring him in some way. Another example would be when Shays mother mumbled "wasnt even out of the house yet before they started moving in all there ----."
