Understanding and using the different types of mentor language is incredibly important. I think for some, certain types come more naturally than others, but all have a place and value in supporting teachers. I think valuing self-care with and for teachers is also important. It's not something we are always comfortable talking about with teachers and might be the first thing to go for ourselves when things at work get challenging. Being able to offer support in the way that best fits an individual and therefore helping their morale and effectiveness is imperative as a mentor. As a mentor our language is very important in the success of building strong mentor relationships. As a mentor being positive and a good listener to your mentee is one of the best ways to provide support. It sets the tone for the whole conversation. As a mentor, I will strive to keep it positive and use the different types of mentoring language. I will also have to build a relationship with my mentee in order to better understand where they are coming from and how they respond to different forms of language. Once I know that, I can adapt my language to fit their needs. For example, some people want a direct answer or suggestion; while others take offense offense to direct suggestions. 
I would also stress to my mentee how they need to take time for themselves every now and then for the betterment of their students. I would share some of my experiences on this and how I am working on this as well.
